Gordon James Ramsay is a Scot by birth, but he grew up in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. He got his first experience as a chef in London. Later, he moved to France, where he studied culinary arts from the best chefs. In 1993, he became the chef of the restaurant,which had just opened and in three years, this institution had received two Michelin stars.
The TV-debut of Ramsay took place in 1998, when he appeared on television as a hero of a documentary program. In 2004, he, as a TV host, told us about the leading problems of the restaurant business, and gave advice to the author’s show “Nightmares in the Kitchen.” In the same 2004 Ramsay started the program “Hell’s Kitchen”, in which tried to make chefs out of everyday people. “Hell’s Kitchen” for several seasons kept in suspense the audience and drove the participants crazy fighting for the position of chef in a famous restaurant. It is not surprising that soon the show went beyond British television and has been translated into several languages, including Russian.
