Everybody knows that shrimp are the best snack to eat either with beer or with anything else. But not everyone knows how to choose the shrimp or how to cook them. Shrimp roasted in a soy sauce are not only a tasty but also a healthy food.
It is essential to choose them correctly.
Fresh and high quality sea food will give you a pleasant experience with their rich taste. Identifying fresh shrimp is really easy:
- the old shrimp shell looks dried compared to the fresh one
- spots (a sign that someone tried to alter the quality of the product for the better)
- too much red (the color of a good fresh shrimp should be pink)
We advise you to look closely at the shrimp shells when buying them and search for these signs.
Keep in mind that there are also pre-cooked shrimp available in some stores. You have to cook them for lesser time (about 2 minutes after boiling) than the raw ones. There are no differences between them so you can use any type you wish.
Once you buy the nice shrimp it’s time to start cooking!
